About Us & Our History 

The Keltikka Performance Dance Company  is the longest operating Irish dance studio in the Northern Territory offering recreational and competition level classes for all ages and abilities,

Family owned and operated, it has always been of paramount importance that all dancers feel like they are part of a family.  We work with the dancer and family to ensure the best outcome. They are proud to offer discounts so classes are accessible to as many people as possible.

Performing at a variety of community events such as OzFusion, Seabreeze Festival, St Patricks Day, Darwin & Palmerston Festival(s), The Royal Darwin Show, Amnesty International, DCA Cultural Community Dinners, Harmony Soiree, Human Rights,and many  more, as well as being available for weddings and corporate functions.  

Dancers are given the opportunity to dance for Fun and Fitness, To perform or not to perform and compete if they would like to. With classes that cater for ages from 2 Years old upwards. 



The Keltikka Performance Dance Company was established in September of 2006 to promote Irish dance in Darwin and Palmeston. Since 2006, we become the foremost Irish Dance Studio in Darwin and the Northern Territory.

From February 2008 Keltikka PDC classes have been taught in line with the syllabus from one of many peak organisations.  In line with this syllabus we had the opportunity to offer competition level classes and the possibility to compete interstate, and at State and National representative levels.

In 2013 Keltikka PDC were admitted into the World Irish Dance Association the first in Australia, Since then our dancers have been able to look forward to now competing overseas as well as within Australia.  This move to the World Irish Dance Association will only serve to broaden not only our dancers dance experience, but life experience as well. 


In April 2015 Keltikka PDC set off on a journey to the World Irish Dance Associations World Championships held in Dusseldorf Germany; The Dancer who had Qualified to compete at this prestige's event placed 14th in the world in a section of 110 people.

In April 2016 Keltikka PDC once again had champions amongst their dancers with three people qualifying for the worlds, The Dancer who  made it to the World Championships in Brighton England danced fantastically; After a lot of hard work and placed 2nd in the World in a very tough section. 

In April 2017  Keltikka PDC had a strong team of 4 who qualified to compete at the World Championships in Killarney Ireland, This team produced results with dancers placing 4th,10th, 11th and 25th at the championship.

In April 2018 Keltikka PDC trained hard where we saw the reward of being the first NT studio to train a World Irish Dance Association World Champion Irish Dancer in Maastricht Netherlands.

In 2019 Keltikka PDC diversified their studio by introducing Ballet Barre to the studio.
